The Vegas Wedding Chamber of Commerce (VWCC) is a group of wedding industry professionals who are dedicated to promoting their industry and supporting the local community. One of the ways that they are doing this is by collecting donations for Project 150 Prom Closet, an initiative that provides prom attire to high school students who are homeless or in need.
Project 150 Prom Closet is an important program for high school students who are facing difficult circumstances. Many of these students do not have the resources to purchase a prom dress or tuxedo, which can be a source of stress and embarrassment. By providing prom attire, Project 150 is helping to ensure that these students can participate in this special event and feel confident and proud.
The VWCC members are collecting donations of gently used prom dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories, as well as new unopened makeup and beauty products. These items will be collected at the VWCC member locations throughout the valley, and will be distributed to students in need through Project 150 Prom Closet.
In addition to collecting donations, the VWCC members are also raising awareness about the issue of homelessness among students, and the importance of supporting Project 150. By spreading the word about this initiative, they are encouraging the wedding industry and the wider community to get involved and help make a difference in the lives of these young people.
The VWCC members’ efforts to support Project 150 Prom Closet is an example of how businesses and organizations can play a crucial role in addressing social problems and making a positive impact in their communities. By working together, the VWCC members are helping to ensure that all students have the opportunity to participate in the prom and feel valued and included.
The Vegas Wedding Chamber of Commerce’s support for Project 150 Prom Closet is a testament to their commitment to their industry and to the local community. By collecting donations and raising awareness, they are helping to make a difference in the lives of homeless and displaced students, and ensuring that these young people have the opportunity to participate in this special event and feel proud and confident.
